Looking for a pet-friendly Santa Fe visit? Santa Fe is a paradise for pets. We’re so dog-friendly that most locals have more than one canine companion. You’ll often see Santa Fe residents shopping and dining (in outdoor areas) accompanied by their furry friends.
For visitors who love traveling with their pets, we have compiled a list of dog parks, dog-friendly restaurants, hotels, and some emergency veterinary clinics.
Let’s Start Off With Dog Parks.
Your dog will love to romp and roam freely and play with other dogs at the
Frank Ortiz Dog Park, over 135 acres of land, which has an off-leash area. Yes, you read that right. Over 135 acres! This is Santa Fe’s official dog park, located at
1160 Camino De Las Crucitas. (505) 955-2100
There are also two large fenced areas on-site at the
Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society. This is a little-known off-leash area in Santa Fe, located at
100 Caja Del Rio Road. (505) 983-4309
In addition to the
Drury Plaza, which always accepts pets, here’s a quick list of 10 places to stay in town while visiting with your furry friend. Check out our in-depth post on the
Drury here and then contact us for a great corporate rate to reduce the cost of your stay (with your pet, of course)!
Here are a few dog-friendly restaurants where you can enjoy a nice meal alongside your loyal companion.
Cedarwood Veterinary Clinic, 2001 St. Michael’s Drive,
(505) 216-2487
