August in Santa Fe – Check Out These Santa Fe Traveler Tidbits

Bunny Terry August 9, 2015

If you’re looking for comprehensive Santa Fe travel info and don’t find it here, feel free to wander over to Santa Fe Travelers, where Billie Frank posts in-depth articles about everything happening in the City differently. In this post, “Tidbits – can’t beat Santa Fe in August,” she gives us an overview of what to expect in Santa Fe in August 2015, including the Santa Fe Opera, the Chamber Music Festival, and the Indian Market.

Billie always offers up something you don’t expect, and she has her ear to the ground for restaurant news as well. If you’re a fan of Santa Fe, you’re going to be a fan of our food, and Billie knows who’s opening what and when you should be there. Here she says, “The biggest news we have to share is that Chef Fernando Olea is back.” This is big news indeed. With the closing of Bert’s Burger Bowl, some of us were worried that Olea would take a break and disappear from the Santa Fe food scene for a while.

But no worries. Olea will be back with Sazon at 221 Shelby Street. We’re thrilled. This is a man who knows his way around a kitchen and the Santa Fe culinary world.

There’s much more. Check out Billie’s post, and if you comment, tell her I sent you. Although we’ve never met in person, we’re fans of one another’s New Mexico and Santa Fe blogs. I appreciate her ongoing hard work in keeping us all informed!
